This non profit Veterans service organization provides a vehicle for any US Veteran to obtain information concerning medical marijuana/cannabis for various ailments. VMCA was the organization responsible for stopping the VA program of refusing some pain treatment for the adjunct use of cannabis therapeutically (see VHA Directive 2011-004 of January 31, 2011) ; open to all Veterans.Medicinal cannabis may be used without loss of benefit by Vets living in and compliant with state cannabis law in VHA facilities since July 2010. No state cannabis law, no VA treatment with cannabis."Medical treatment by geography" is immoral, illogical and medically unethical - yet this is US policy for wounded US military Veterans. Thank you for your service?The VHA Directive above has expired. VHA policy of allowing the therapeutic use of cannabis in VHA protocols remains in place.
