My responsibilities included all administration related tasks including invoicing and credit control, negotiation of rates for the hire of equipment for various site contracts and included ensuring that the units were available to meet contractual requirements, management of yard staff, joiners, electricians, drivers etc and ensuring that all legal and local requirements regarding transportation and craneage were observed. Initially this service was reactive to enquiries from existing building and site contracts however I initiated a programme of research into all new building and planning consents within the region serviced by the depot and began approaching buyers for these companies to quote rental costs for their site accommodation requirements. This also included the sale of units which required me to meet with contractors, identify their requirements and make recommendations, negotiate costs, order and oversee the production and delivery of the same. I deputised for the regional manager, including management of budgets to meet forward planning requirements, stock ordering and management all contractual obligations and staff hours and overtime. -
