Successfully project managed the upgrade of the BMC Remedy Suite of applications from V6 to ITSM V7. This application underpins the delivery of ICT Services to the Business of Leeds City Council using ITSM/ITIL Methodology and processes. I have been involved with design and delivery of the Remedy suite since 2004 when I was seconded from my role of Service Desk Manager to the project team managing the replacement of the Service Desk Software (to Remedy V6/apps 5.6). I have also completed the delivery of the Service Request Management system onto the ITSM7 platform to deliver a user friendly point of access for the LCC User Community to raise tickets for all ICT related queries and requests.Ongoing project work now encompasses Asset Management/ design and delivery of an effective CMDB using Remedy and BMC Atrium products.

I joined the NA Group at their Yorkshire Bank Head Office in Leeds. This was a new role to develop and improve the HO IT function. This involved designing and setting up of an in house helpdesk to manage the requirement for Support, the procurement and management of IT equipment and managing an external Hardware support contract.

Colourcare International was one of the largest Photoprocessors in the UK offering services via most of the major high street retailers for film processing. These accounts included Boots the Chemist, John Menzies, Dixons, Jessops, SupaSnaps etc. I was responsible for over 1500 accounts held by the laboratory based in Livingston, Scotland with key account responsibility for Boots the flagship account.

My responsibilities included all administration related tasks including invoicing and credit control, negotiation of rates for the hire of equipment for various site contracts and included ensuring that the units were available to meet contractual requirements, management of yard staff, joiners, electricians, drivers etc and ensuring that all legal and local requirements regarding transportation and craneage were observed. Initially this service was reactive to enquiries from existing building and site contracts however I initiated a programme of research into all new building and planning consents within the region serviced by the depot and began approaching buyers for these companies to quote rental costs for their site accommodation requirements. This also included the sale of units which required me to meet with contractors, identify their requirements and make recommendations, negotiate costs, order and oversee the production and delivery of the same. I deputised for the regional manager, including management of budgets to meet forward planning requirements, stock ordering and management all contractual obligations and staff hours and overtime.

I was trained and worked in the Communications branch of the Royal Navy handling various forms of Communication and technology available at that time and under the auspices of the Official Secrets Act. I served in the UK and abroad. During this time I twice gained accelerated advancement based on my training and performance. At the time of discharge I had attained the rating of Petty Officer, his involved the training and supervision of all junior ratings.
