In 2012, Pat founded Downsizing by Design. Over a 10 year period, she and her team helped hundreds of baby boomer and senior clients and their adult children with the very complicated and stressful processes of downsizing and move planning. She gained her Senior Move Manager-Certified in 2015 and led Downsizing by Design to its A+ Accreditation, both offered from the National Association of Senior and Specialty Move Managers (NASMM) in 2017. She also served on the NASMM board for 2 years. Pat has a heart for educating colleagues and presented at NASMM annual conferences in 2020 and 2021.In February 2022, Pat made the decision to sell Downsizing by Design to BP Capital. Pat is now a consultant to BP Capital and Blue Star Moving, sharing expertise and 10 years of experience in the move management industry. Prior to and after the acquisition, Pat supported other Senior Move Managers in setting up, leading and growing their businesses. She helps them identify the tasks they should 'let go' of and how to delegate effectively. Pat also provides support in the areas of goal-setting, operations, human resources and training, and establishing and improving processes.
