I lead the software quality engineering and quality infrastructure teams for Starbucks' retail technology software projects, primarily focusing on point-of-sale and production control systems. We deliver test automation infrastructure (self-service tools and systems in a test engineering as a service model), performance and chaos engineering to peer agile teams in our engineering groups, and our automation supports Windows, Azure, iOS and Android systems. We also perform exploratory and system integration testing in a hardware lab. Our team of 48 engineers is located in the Seattle area, peering with vendor teams in Chennai and Kochi, India. My teams enable testing and test automation for Retail Tech’s three engineering directors.As a leader of our organization's DevOps and Lean transformation journey, I learn and coach the CALMS model (Culture, Automation, Lean, Measurement, Sharing) using transformational leadership.
