The IDSA includes members from SMEs, Multi-National Corporations (MNCs) & National Research Partner Organisations (RPOs) focussed on the land, sea, air, space & cyber domains. Our stakeholders include Irish government politicians, civil service departments, national defence and security agencies, chambers of commerce & as well as international defence and security agencies and Primes.Mission: To ensure Ireland develops appropriate, leading edge and trusted defence & security capabilities in the land, sea, air, space & cyber domains, in order to protect our society, create jobs, drive research and enhance Ireland’s economic growth.

Advising senior leadership on communication strategy development, the communication of strategy, media relations, driving change initiatives, stakeholder and employee engagement. Planning and implementation of the Defence Forces External & Internal Communications strategy, to act as the organisations chief spokesperson, to conduct media training for all Defence Forces personnel, to provide media relations advice to the organisations senior management.

I was involved in the planning and implementation of the Defence Forces Communications and Public Relations strategy, to act as one of the organisations two spokespersons, to conduct media training for all Defence Forces personnel, to provide thought leadership and media relations advice to the organisations most senior management.

Media Training & Communications lecturer in United Nations Training School, Command & Staff School and Military College.Provide academic lectures on Communication theory, PR & Media Realtions and practical media training to Senior Management courses with both a national & international audience.

Media Training and Social Media workshops on both the national & international stage including Communications and Management Masters courses, national Social Media conferences, Business Training courses and the Dutch Multinational Centre of Excellence.

I was a Battalion Logistics Officer with the Irish unit serving in the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) working at the operational level with specific responsibility for the planning and execution of the closure of the Irish mission in Liberia and Sierra Leone and the repatriation for all Irish personnel and Irish assets.

Including one tour of duty in Liberia with the United Nations.
