Reporting to the Senior Director of Health System Laboratory Services, served as primary liaison between laboratory customers and UMass Memorial Laboratory personnel to ensure services provided consistently met customer needs. Assigned territory included over 200 laboratory clients throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Clients included solo physician practices, group practices, hospital laboratories, reference laboratories, health centers and clinics.Built and maintained strong relationships with providers through visits to identify concerns and then independently solved issues or made recommendations on how to enhance lab procedures and services to avoid reoccurrence. Leveraged all tools and resources to make and implement a variety of independent decisions to ensure customer retention. Evaluated the impact of solutions to ensure goals were met.

Responsible for the OptumHealth Learning Network, a product of OptumHealth Education, which delivers Continuing Medical Education for healthcare professionals through satellite broadcasting. The network had over 1400 facilities nationwide. Responsible for all facets of the network including growth, retention, management of an outside technical service vendor for all satellite system related activities and end user concerns. Managed recruitment activities to create specialized Oncology, Cardiology, and Women’s Health networks. Worked as part of a team to develop effective marketing pieces and approve all communications to satellite sites. Interacted with internal business development representatives, account directors, medical directors, and operations staff.

Worked on strengthening relationships with existing providers, while concurrently leading efforts expanding services into new and existing markets, including Western Massachusetts, Vermont, and Rhode Island. Provided support to physician and ancillary medical groups in areas of credentialing, electronic data interchange and financial management, as well as, assisting in resolving issues and ensuring compliance and process adherence critical to continuing profitability.
