The Systems Reliability and Performance team is responsible for deploying and administering performance, monitoring and data analytics platforms Splunk, SolarWinds Orion, Cisco ThousandEyes and AWS CloudWatch RUM.• Lead the Splunk On-Premises Infrastructure Migration to AWS. Built new EC2 with Load Balancers using Cloud Formation, which allows us to efficiently run and scale our infrastructure as well as quickly and easily react in case of Availability Zone failure.• Created a standard Splunk Lambda Layer for Python, built on top of the Splunk SDK, to facilitate and standardize sending to and retrieving data from Splunk for application Health Checks, saving development and maintenance time for new and existing Health Checks.• Rolled-out Windows Servers Monitoring for all Windows servers in the company using Splunk Add-on for Windows. Created custom dashboards for better understanding of server behaviour and alerts for notification of high metrics, which helps operations team be notified of issues.• Created processes to upgrade Splunk Forwarders on multiple platforms quickly and reliably, giving us the ability to react quickly when new security advisories are published and keep our infrastructure safe.
