Answer phone calls and take messages for the church staff. Responsible for decorating monthly welcome board in the foyer of the church. Prepare, proof and print programs for events held by the church. Supply copies of several different correspondents and files needed by the church heads. Assist with sound board for the worship team and speakers, including the pastor. Assist with taping and distributing audio/video recordings of the sermons

Support event planner with pre-event operational planning. Help set up and clean-up of events. Produce marketing communications, such as flyers and brochures. Assist with the collation of information for promotional literature.

Perform clerical support such as filling and mailing out affidavits to previous customers. Review and respond to multiple email inboxes. Receive calls from not only funeral homes but also grieving families to place obituaries and in memoriams. Working a rapid pace to approve the notices for the following date, proofreading to make sure it prints correctly. Close our department by speaking with pagination to give them the all clear to insert the obituaries into the next day’s obits.

Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers or automatic debits while issuing receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers. Request information or assistance using paging systems while handling guest complaints, compliments, returns and exchanges. Understand customer requirements to provide appropriate clarifications and solutions during money transfers, customer bill paying and check cashing.

Research and keep abreast of emerging design trends and practices. Plan ideas by studying information and materials to translate drafts into variable design concepts. Illustrate concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size, style plus any other related aesthetic concepts. Create/manipulate graphic elements (photos, logos, themes, etc.) for use in client-facing and internal marketing communication efforts.
