At BE Labs, we are committed to equipping inclusion councils, business and employee resource groups, and other HR and DEIB practitioners with the tools and knowledge they need to drive positive change within their organizations. Our comprehensive certificate program is designed to empower participants through a series of ten modules, each carefully crafted to build their expertise and confidence in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.Our program covers essential areas, such as understanding the roles of council members and leaders, aligning on DEIB nomenclature, and crafting a clear purpose, mission, and vision for their initiatives. We emphasize the power of leveraging workforce data and analytics to inform and drive strategies, setting goals and success metrics, and honing communication skills for maximum impact.Participants will learn to link their DEIB goals to their organization's business and talent strategies, fostering alignment and synergy. We also provide valuable guidance on building and leading high-performing council groups and reporting progress to key stakeholders. Importantly, our program equips participants to create a custom action plan, including a DEIB mission and vision document they can bring back to their organizations for immediate implementation.By the end of our program, participants will leave with increased knowledge and a deep sense of confidence and community. They will be better prepared to lead DEI efforts within their organizations and collaborate with others. Our ultimate vision is to support inclusion councils in creating more inclusive workplaces where every employee experiences a genuine sense of belonging. Play an important part in developing strategic diversity and inclusion planning goals that align with the College’s overall strategic plan. Develop long-term and short-term goals and partner with others to operationalize goals.Partner with the college’s student recruitment team on recruiting students who are underrepresented in the college.Partner with the Director, Undergraduate Programs, Associate Deans for Undergraduate and Graduate programs to create and implement undergraduate initiatives to promote an inclusive college climate and community.Provide expertise and advice to College of Business leadership, faculty, staff, and students on issues related to diversity, inclusion, and equity.Identify and collaborate with appropriate departments to support the infusion of inclusive and culturally relevant pedagogy and practices into the college curricula.Responsible for fundraising and building steady revenue streams to ensure sustainability and scalability of DEI initiatives. Collaborate with the College of Business development team on fundraising opportunities.Prepare proposals and other requests for financial support to federal, private and corporate entities in order to secure funding for multicultural program needs and diversity initiatives within the College.Partner with HR to ensure inclusive hiring practices and employee development that result in achieving a diverse and equity-minded workforce.Partner with HR on developing college-wide inclusion strategies that support employee satisfaction and retention.Responsible for developing and managing annual budget; uses discretion on prioritization and utilization of funds; reviews and approves all expenditures. - Identify, track and assess diversity and inclusion metrics. Responsible for evaluating current environment and making recommendations for diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts in the College of Business.

Joint academic appointment in the department of Management teaching DEI based seminars in the Executive Leadership Program, Beverage Business Institute, Entrepreneurship Institute and the Impact MBA program. Currently teaching an experimental strategic management course BUS280A/BUS210 Fostering an Inclusive Workplace Climate. I have also taught a cultural immersion undergraduate course in the College of Business (BUS492B) that offers a study abroad component to Tanzania and a special topics Social Sustainability (BUS496V) course.
