Changing the lives of others through public health is my passion! I am a highly motivated state program manager and state/national leader with over 19 years of experience in Allied Health with a specialty as an early intervention speech-language pathologist specializing in hearing loss and language development. I also have 17 years of Public Health experience bringing strong professional experience leading, collaborating with, and building diverse teams.I am self-motivated, results oriented, and a forward thinker. I work hard to be a catalyst for continuous process improvement, and I am a firm believer in delivering high quality results. I am intellectually curious and passionate about growing highly productive teams, developing sustainable solutions, and envisioning/realizing possibilities. For 13 years, I regulated the Oklahoma state mandate for infant hearing screening and reporting impacting approximately one million Oklahoma children. This included working with hospitals and private medical home providers, audiologists, and speech-pathologists. I have 13 years of experience writing and implementing two federally funded grants on behalf of the State of Oklahoma; this includes pursuing and receiving one of the grants for the first time in state history. For the last 10 years, I have represented all state speech and hearing programs as a national expert on the 14-member best practice panel, Joint Committee on Infant Hearing (JCIH), working with audiologists, speech-language pathologists, primary care providers/pediatricians, otorhinolaryngologist, parents of children with hearing loss, Deaf advocates, psychologists, early interventionist, lawyers, etc. For the last three years, I have co-led JCIH national efforts impacting all children in the United States regarding Early Hearing Detection and Intervention.I am a leader that understands executive level management dynamics in large organizations and promotes an environment which fosters collaboration internally/externally at the local, state, and national levels.
