I am currently renewing my CNA on June 5th, 2012 and have been actively looking for a job for about a year. It's very hard to find a job in my field unless certification is present.

Supervise and assist caregivers. I was person care givers would go to whenproblems arise on the floor and I in turn would go to supervisors to haveproblem or idea looked at and either fixed or supported by management ordepartments involved.• Suggest new ways to improve our residents quality of life and safety issueswhile they reside in our care.• Dispense medications to residents. Provide assistance with all activities ofdaily living. Monthly weights and vitals. Meal service and update serviceplans according to changes in resident status. Assure that residents haveneeds and preferences to live comfortably.• Check inventory of linen supplies for all houses and give order toadministrator to order.• Help in other departments such as food service, maintenance, communityservice activities and housekeeping.• Make new forms on home computer for orientation of new caregivers andupdating assignments with new changes for residents.• Orientate new care givers who are hired. Help my immediate supervisors,my RN and LPN with tasks whenever needed.• Had CNA till I sent paperwork back for renewal saying I worked in AssistedLiving• Call resident family members whenever a need to do so arises and attendfamily meetings with supervisors approximately every month.
