Represented and litigated cases involving abused and neglected children, newborn to twenty-one (21) years of age in dependency and termination of parental rights proceedings.. Advocated for all aspects of child’s welfare including legal, social, educational, psychological and medical needs. Prepared cases including pre-hearing conferences, shelter care, adjudicatory, dispositional review and termination hearings. Prepared clients for court; participated in meetings; maintained case files.Collaborated with assigned child advocate social workers and workers from the Department of Human Services, community agencies, parents and other counsel to reach an appropriate goal including reuniting children with their families, alternative planned placements, independent living or termination of parental rights and adoption.
