It’s the roughness that has propelled me to be a champion of change. This comes with costs and benefits. The diversity of my work with youth and families has led me to the creation of Patty’s Place Concierges Youth Mental Health Care. It is here where I plan to revitalize the approach to accessing care. Mental Health is a broad topic with oftentimes a broad understanding. Here, my plan is to dig deeper and personalize the process. We believe that an individuals needs may require therapy, but we also believe there are many support solutions beyond traditional therapy. I believe that there is a step missing before the prescription which is to assess and tailor needs. We strive to be a community resource working collaboratively toward progress. Timely, comprehensive, compassionate care is what we aim to offer. My view of the field of mental health is that we need to simplify, act and update our efforts. It’s not a one size fits all domain. Therapists know that change is needed and change is good.
