With over 25 years in the nursing industry, working in a variety of settings, I have gained experience and insight into the practice of nursing and the value of working with good nursing assistants. I capitalize on these experiences as teaching opportunities into my classroom, books and videos . This allows me to develop training products that are patient-centered and presented in an intuitive manner, that allows students to succeed - not only on the exam, but in their clinical practice! As the host of the Nursing Assistant podcast, I have the rare opportunity to connect with a wide variety of nursing professionals as we explore training opportunities, work/life balance, education tracks, employment settings, advocacy opportunities and more exciting topics as they relate to nursing assistants. My educational speaking engagements bring me into contact with instructors, allowing me to gauge the unique teaching challenges that educators are facing in this field. And my creative endeavors with our animated video series have challenged me to gain new skills in vector graphic design, animation, video production and content creation - and I love every minute of it!
