- Program development and operational responsibilities of the Summer Youth Internship Program- Develop readiness workshops to help candidates successfully complete the application process- Promote HFC Power and Trades Pathway for Skilled Trades interns - Coordinate skilled trades career awareness/exploration events - Work with CTE schools that have Energy Industry Fundamentals to help with compliance/accreditation and enhance programming- Collect and compile data from energy training partners for grant reporting and compliance

Oversee SEMCA's super awesome Youth Programs, including the WIOA Youth Program, Jobs for Michigan's Graduates, Foster Care Summer Youth Employment Program, and the Wayne County College Access Network. Track contractor performance measures and budget; monitor paid work experience placements and ensure compliance with relevant rules, regulations and guidelines. Coordinate Talent Tours to expose youth to high-demand jobs in Southeast Michigan. Arrange entrepreneurship education events, specialized trainings, and volunteer activities. I am constantly seeking for additional opportunities for our youth, and looking at ways to improve what we already have in place.Here are some of our accomplishments: - Implemented extensive career exploration activities, which included “Talent Tours” (recognized by Governor Snyder and mandated for WIOA Youth Programs by the State).- Exceeded all WIOA Youth Program performance measures since overseeing the program and exceeded all performance expectations for 2009 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). - Represented SEMCA at two national conferences to present the SYEP website application/data management tool, recognized as a best practice by the US Department of Labor.- Represented SEMCA at the 2014 Michigan Works! Conference to present on Talent Tours, as well as several other conferences. - Coordinated a 5-week skilled trades summer training for 10 youth, which the UAW-Ford has provided for free since 2014.- Arranged for SEMCA to be the anchor organization for the Wayne County College Access Network. - Coordinated the submission of and was awarded two STEM grants with partner agencies.

Worked with SEMCA's Substance Abuse/Prevention Services and WIA Youth Programs. Ensured compliance with the Michigan Youth Tobacco Act by coordinating with stakeholders to prevent the underage sale of tobacco products. Tracked placements, coordinated payroll and monitored worksites for paid work experience activities.

Managed the implementation of the 2009 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) and monitored activities to assure all program objectives were met. 914 youth were placed in jobs throughout out-Wayne and Monroe Counties!

Coordinated the hiring of all district substitutes, conducted orientation and processed paperwork for new employees. Administrator for the AESOP system used for substitute teachers. Liaison between the superintendent, staff, unions, parents, and community members. Prepared for school board meetings (posted agendas, took minutes, prepared board packets, etc.). Chairperson for annual Goodfellows/Toys-for-Tots campaign.
