Instrument and Control Engineer for Frade Redevelopment project.

Frade Leads the technical support of the FPSO Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS). Responsible for the integrity and change management of all process control hardware and software. Advises on, and approves system change requests (SCRs), manages contract services for the programming, upgrading, and auditing of all ICSS logic, prioritizes remedial action, and oversees implementation. Provides functional (dotted line) supervision to FE Instrument and control Engineer and offshore DCS Technician, and informal mentoring to FE Electrical engineer.

*Facilities Engineer Instrumentation and Control for FRADE FPSO - Brazil.- Key point of contact for offshore operations for issues related to ICSS (Integrated Control and Safety System), providing technical support on all aspects of automation technologies including process control system, emergency shutdown system, and automation asset management.

Instrument & Control Engineer developing engineering for different companies like i-Soluciones, Integra, Petronado and Siemens in Venezuela. Responsible for developing Gas Flow measurements calculations, for Custody Transfer Applications using Orifice Plates, including uncertainty analysis, instrument installation requirements and integration to existing control systems, in order to comply with ISO and AGA standards.

* Multidisciplinary engineering leader.- responsible for developing the document “Instruction for Bidders”, to contract the 2nd phase of basic engineering for Chevron Deltana project.* Instrum & Control Engineer IV.- responsible for developing basic and detailed engineering for automation and fire & gas detection projects in existing oil flow stations.

* Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer.- responsible for Design Assurance Review & complete “Approved for Construction” documentation associated to fire & Gas and Emergency Shutdown Systems, for “British Gas T& T Beachfield project”.

* Instrum & Control Engineer leader “Gas Lift Extension Project” (2004 – 2005).- Responsible for developing final stage of detail engineering of a compression plant & auxiliary systems, to be installed in “Main Production Platform” of Shell Venezuela company. Responsible for design and installation of all facilities required by the new control system (DCS) and Emergency shutdown system (ESD).* Design Leader / Construction support of “Gas Sweetening Unit Reactivation Project” (2003 – 2004).- Leading a multidisciplinary work team (mechanical, civil, electricity, instrumentation and safety) in order to develop detail engineering & pre-commissioning support of a Gas Sweetening Plant based on amine process. Responsible for design and installation of all facilities required by the control system (DCS) and shutdown system (ESD), including upgrade for DCS.

* Project Supervisor – Definition Team Leader (2001 – 2003).- Managing multidisciplinary work teams (mechanical, civil, electricity, instrumentation and safety) responsible for developing projects in conceptual and definition scopes, in oil and gas applications. Offer methodological support to use VIP (Value Improvement Practices) tools as PDRI (Project Definition Rating Index) and Value engineering studies. * Definition Engineer (1998 - 2001).- Coordination and develop a multidisciplinary project, in conceptual and definition phase, specially oriented to instrumentation, control, automation and safety projects. As an example: ASP (Alcalis, Surfactant and Polymer) Injection Plant, Integral automation of Gas Compression Plant (including turbo compressor control and protection systems, supervision and control process plant system, safety and shut down system, new control room and facilities buildings), onshore and offshore flow station automation, increase the capacity of steam injection plants and water treatment facilities in oil terminals.

* Leader of Instrumentation and Control Engineering team (1996 – 1997).- Manage a group of instrumentation and control team, responsible for developing basic and detailed engineering for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities, including flow stations, oil heaters, gas plants and oil terminals.* Instrumentation and control Engineer (1990 – 1995). - Develop Basic and detailed engineering, for onshore and offshore facilities, specially oriented to build new flow stations, fire and gas detection systems in process plants, and control rooms, new oil and gas heaters, supervisory and control systems for crude oil tanks in terminal facilities, and design and installation of oil and product pumping systems, pressure vessels, pipelines, etc.* Instrumentation and control construction engineer (1987 – 1989).- Lead and coordinate the construction, start-up, and operations of oil and gas facilities, especially related to the installation of control equipment as PLC, RTU, standalone controllers, fire extinguish systems, fire and gas detection systems, pneumatic field instrumentation and HMI in control rooms.
