I am a self-motivated and independent with an unparalleled work ethic and a positive attitude. I will be separating from the Navy in April, after serving 4 years as a Navy Nuclear Machinist Mate. I have extensive training in operations of all reactor plant, steam plant, electrical generation, and auxiliary equipment associated with Navy Nuclear Power. Of those 4 years, I have spent the last 2 as an Engineering Laboratory Technician, specializing in maintaining the chemistry of various water sources relating to the reactor and steam plants, and also monitoring radiation exposure and contamination control.As a highly motivated individual, I excelled as an honor student at Gray’s Harbor College with an Associate in Arts Degree and an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology. I also plan to earn a Bachelor’s degree in the science/chemistry field. I was awarded the Personal Excellence Award in both Nuclear Field A-School and Powerschool, and graduated from Nuclear Prototype as honorman, ranked first in my class.I am looking for career opportunities in similar fields to what I have been working in for the past four years.
