Property Specialist
Provided Department of Labor (DOL), Job Corps Regional Office Support (JCC), Outreach Admissions (OA), Career Transition Services (CTS), and National Training Contracts (NTC) with property management including annual property reviews, regional office center assessments, training to DOL contractors in property procedures for Federal property management (according to FARS, DFARS, and DOL policies) and in all aspects of the use of DOL property database CITRIX used to manage and account for Federal Property.Traveled to 15 job corps sites, surveyed expendable, non-expendable and capital property, storerooms, warehouses, labeling, suspense files, historical files, quarterly and annual inventory records, hand-receipt and transfer records, off-center repair logs, condition and records for GSA motor vehicles, reporting evidence of missing property not reported, reporting acquisitions without regional approval, number/amount of purchase orders, and processed $502,058.00 of excess and $30,665.00 in missing property. I processed forms and obtained authorizing signatures on-site. From my office I processed another $4,838,313.00 of excess and $14,662.00 in missing property at 34 other job corps sites.ACQUISITION: Assisted and provided training with acquisition procedures, forms ETA 3-41B and obtained regional/national approvals.MOVEMENT/TRANSFERS: Provided training/monitored transfers between locations within a site w/hand receipts, and from one site to another with Form SF 122 Transfer Order for Excess Property.CONTRACTS/AGREEMENTS CLOSURE: Conducted 6 contract changeovers w/final inventories in excess of $550,000.00, prepared proper forms, called together accountable parties for signatures.DISPOSITION/RETIREMENT: Provided training/assisted in processes for property removal from use and CITRIX. Collected form DL 1-55 sanitized computers, servers and laptops. Included reutilization, donation, sale, abandonment, destruction, and removal of accountability.
