In 2023, I decided to take the plunge and leave education and my teaching career behind me and move to Buffalo, New York with my husband who serves in the United States Army. I focused on what 12 years of education skills offered me outside the classroom and decided to purse a new career in administrative assistantship. Being highly detail oriented with superior organizational skills and having a personable and positive attitude, I thought this was the best new career choice for me! I am very happy to announce that I was hired by the financial planning firm, Note Advisors, LLC, in December 2022 and could not be happier! I am a former veteran teacher of twelve years in preschool through eighth-grade art education. Since graduating from Rowan University in 2011 with Summa Cum Laude honors, I previously worked at two different schools. From June 20011 (immediately after graduation) to June 2020, I worked at the Maurice River Township Elementary School in Port Elizabeth, New Jersey and the Thomas E. Bowe Middle School in Glassboro, New Jersey. Besides my regular duties of lesson planning, curriculum writing, classroom and student safety, I was also a field hockey coach, stage manager for various spring musicals, club advisors, after school detention administration, I served on several school committees, and I was a mentor teacher. Besides my employment in education, I have also previously worked at Fahrenheit Ceramic Studio, a paint-your-own pottery studio in Pitman, New Jersey, Paint Nite, an adult painting class held at local food establishments, Bath and Body Works for retail experience, and I have been a babysitter/nanny for various families since the age of 13. In my free time, I love to spend time with my husband and our 3 fur children, read, cooking is my therapy, and I'm so glad that pop punk is making a comeback because Paramore and Avril Lavigne will forever be my go-to music genre of choice.
