I develop practical, hands-on technical learning experiences for workplace professionals. I am passionate about teaching, technology and bringing learning to life. My goal is to help people become competent and confident as they learn to apply new skills and knowledge. With a career that spans over 30 years in teaching, information technology, business and engineering, I have spent the last 10 years creating engaging classroom and e-learning experiences for workplaces and post-secondary institutions. Of the many things that I have done throughout my career, I have always enjoyed training and mentoring – whether it is formal or informal. I am also a lifelong learner – for me, the learning never stops.Most recently, I created the original curriculum for the new, innovative Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification™ (RHFAC) program. The course is now being delivered to building design professionals at six post-secondary institutions across Canada. I am passionate about building strong communities and through this course I teach people about what steps they can take to make our buildings more inclusive and welcoming for people with disabilities. Prior to this, I performed business analysis and delivered workplace training for business systems implementation projects for a range of public and private sector organizations. I love working with organizations who recognize the value of providing people with the technical skills they need to grow and advance in their careers.
