It all started when I saw my classmate's Python project looking so pretty and pink.That Barbie-looking desktop app sparked my interest in designing interfaces. I remember how engrossed I was looking at YouTube videos on UI design and trying it on my own, only to see it failing at first (well yeah, reality check). But that didn't stop me from learning continuously. After that, I decided to put my skills to the test and joined Google Developer Student Clubs, Xavier. I was so excited when we were tasked to develop an app for a local gym named Unscathed, and I get the chance to design it. And this is the time I first got my hands on Figma. I didn't know that such an application exists, and from there I started experimenting with my craft. My first draft of the design was terrible, but I carried on and got to improve on a project that we worked on as a submission to the Google Solution Challenge, which is named Study Buddy. I felt that my UI/UX design is getting better, but just when I planned to continue learning, I got bombarded with academic requirements.Later on, we had our Software Engineering 2 course and were tasked to create a web-based Student Registration System. Imagine the joy I felt when I realized got the opportunity to design again. But this time, I won't be just designing it, but I'll be coding as well. I had to use a library named React without even knowing how to code in Javascript at that time. This is gonna be hard, I thought to myself. Nevertheless, I persevered and got to implement the design of the website. I can still remember how amazing it was seeing your designs come to life using your own hands. And this is when my love for Front-End Development started.I'm so grateful to have found the career that I want to pursue once I graduate. With this, I decided to take a Front-End Developer internship at Syntactics. Throughout my experience, I realized how much I haven't known yet about interface design and development. I have learned a lot about the standards and principles used to design visually pleasing websites, and I plan to continue learning in this field.Now, I aim to get more experience in designing interfaces for websites, mobile apps, and computer software. With my desire to learn and drive to excel, I can provide a good user experience and help make lives easier through technology. Would you like to work with me towards this goal?
