I ran a local news website focused on providing useful hyperlocal information and driving community engagement. My primary responsibilities were: generating content including news stories, photo galleries, videos and interactive features like maps and polls; building site readership by interacting with the community and monitoring metrics; managing social.

I supervised all content creation, design and publication of a weekly newspaper with a circulation of approximately 6,000 and accompanying special sections throughout the year. I managed a staff of reporters, created content and managed the website.

Generated and wrote four or more stories per week including local government, business and feature stories. Proofread pages. Took photos and compiled graphics to accompany stories. Monitored all aspects of city government for newspaper with circulation of approximately 5,000.
