Writing. Marketing. Baking. Coaching.I recently had someone tell me that I have had an eclectic career. I think I would use the word passionate instead.I started my career at a public relations agency in the early days of what was then called “high tech” in Silicon Valley. I loved nurturing technology clients and excelled at helping them tell their stories. Those PR and marketing skills came in handy during my tenure at a startup selling a B2B product to those same technology companies. My time there gave me invaluable insight into running a startup business. During a time of career and personal transition, I returned to an earlier passion -- baking. I transitioned to the culinary world where I combined my marketing skills with my culinary skills to launch an artisan food business. I effectively utilized social media as well as my marketing and writing skills to achieve national recognition for my business. Baking saw me through a time of transition in my life and my career. This idea that pursuing your strengths could generate career success and personal satisfaction led me to the study of Positive Psychology at San Francisco State University where I completed the Core Strengths Certification Coaching Program. I eventually worked with women to coach them in their career transitions.Today I find myself a producer of content whether it be through images or through writing and often, both.The thread that runs through my all of my career adventures is helping people make sense of their story and finding a way to tell it.I firmly believe as Seth Godin states, “Marketing is no longer about the stuff you make, but about the stories you tell.”Let me help you tell your story.
