Responsible for all areas of finance, support functions and manufacturing/logistics operations for worldwide operations. Manage the staff and contractor teams and delivered the following pre-agreed projects while participating in a leadership development programme with the MD & CEO; - Implemented procurement, finance, HR, production and quality, risk & compliance policies, procedures & systems within the business and successfully achieved quality certification for ISO14001, OHSAS18001, ISO27001 & ISO50001. - Designed the user specifications for a fully integrated ERP system. Selected and implemented ‘SAP Business One’ within a challenging six month timeframe. - Streamlined the Irish manufacturing facility through a six sigma lean programme and managed the expansion of HQ to increase production capacity fivefold. - Advised and supported the Board of directors on business strategy and funding.

Heavily involved in leaning the production facility. - Developed the Energy Saving Contracting (ESCo) proposition within the business and coordinated and negotiated all aspects of a 15 year ESCo pilot project for outdoor street lighting.

Responsible for the set-up, business development and management of the Outsourced Financial Control division for the firm and managed over 20 direct and indirect reports. - Set-up the Outsourced Financial Control division for the firm and built a strong client base which included the multinational software company Micros (Oracle). Developed the service offering, prepared the business plan, FP&A, identified target markets, developed and promoted the service offering and implemented and managed the systems, procedures and team structures. - Led several finance transformation assignments which drove efficiency and effectiveness from finance and support functions which included one of Irelands’ largest engineering firms and a large well known charity. - Provided strategic and financial reviews/diligences of businesses on behalf of owners, investors and banks.

Responsible for all areas of management and financial reporting and planning for Ireland which reported under Irish and UK GAAP and the restructure of the Irish division.

Managed a team of 12 direct reports and reported to the MD, Board of directors and parent company. Overall responsibility for all strategic and operational aspects of finance including FP&A, group and management monthly reporting, risk management, internal & external audits, procurement, secretarial and IFRS and local statutory reporting compliances for Ireland. I also managed the IT department and all legal/insurance related matters. Key contributions and achievements includes; - Built a very strong finance and procurement team and systems (implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV) to deliver tight group reporting deadlines. - Responsible for the financial and legal due diligence on the acquisition of Irish PPP company. Prepared the financial forecasting, negotiated the sale price, arranged financing and closed the transaction. The acquired company’s operation was integrated into the existing operational and financial systems. - Key senior management member involved in evaluating the groups FM entry into the UK market which was through the acquisition of existing PPP contracts comprising of 47 schools (value in excess of Stg£30m). This involved financial analysis on each of the elements of the various contracts using benchmarks and factoring in risks, opportunities and sensitivities and preparing financial models including NPV’s. The Irish division was subsequently responsible for opening the UK office and integrating the Irish division with the UK operation.
