Theo Pascal Management

www.theopascal.comComposer / MD / Electric bass / Double bass "Theo Pascal is one of the most gifted bassists on the planet. His mastery of notes is impressive, his command of an expressive elasticity shapes these notes. His pizzicato technique is virtuoso as is his con arco playing. Stark timbers define his playing especially in his continuo. Quaver octaves are clean and dramatically stressed from fz to p. Implicit in this is a sense of pleading which could turn on a dime to reflective nobility. His performance here is shaped by this kind of iridescence that is simply hard to find these days. It is truly a pity that he is not better known. His compositions and overall musicianship is very hard to find and when combined with the utter beauty of his virtuosity he becomes the rarest of rare commodities." Raul da GamaTheo Pascal was included in BLITZ MAGAZINE (only music magazine in Portugal) list of the best Portuguese bass players in the last 30 years!

Freelance Talent Development & Booker

Talent development is one of my biggest passions. Using my experience in management and booking I have created several concert opportunities to push young Jazz talent forward. I do that by working in partnership with several organisations in the UK ( Woolwich Works, Pizza Express, Ronnie Scotts, New Generation Jazz, Southbank, Love Supreme, Cambridge Jazz Festival, Red Bull, Tomorrows Warriors, Shades of Soul, etc) in Portugal ( Hot Club, Out jazz, Cascais Jazz Club, Tokio, etc) and Norway (Kids in Jazz Festival, Barnas Jazz School) and I´m always looking to extend my network in other countries. ZEÑEL is the youngest band I have developed/managed/booked: "Zoe Pascal, Noah Stoneman and Laurence Wilkins together formed Zeñel in 2016 after meeting through the young jazz scene in London. The band delivers complexity and excitement through their jazz improvisation background, cut up with experimental and unexpected electronic sounds. Although their young age emphasizes just how much accolade is due to the trio, their extraordinary talent is impressive beyond their years. This new young band has wowed audiences at Love Supreme Festival, Ronnie Scotts, Jazzrefreshed, London Jazz Festival, Le Petite Halle (Paris), OutJazz Fest (Lisbon/PT), Sofar London, Cambridge Jazz Festival, The Verdict (New Generation Jazz), Lancaster Jazz Festival, Royal Albert Hall at the MFY PROMS, etc. ""– a hip, cooking, super-talented trio of players who aren’t even old enough to vote yet!" - Included in the Jazzwise Artists to watch and "The Shape of Jazz to Come" in 2017,2018, 2019.
