In 2017, I was selected to lead the business integration of a newly acquired company into the CertainTeed fold. Known for my solid problem solving and project management skills, I was excited to accept the leadership opportunity but I was uneasy overseeing the integration of some unfamiliar processes such as HR or IT infrastructure. Building trust, listening to understand and communicating clearly became critical to my success. Having kept my philosophies top of mind, I thoroughly enjoyed the remote temporary assignment and now have a much deeper understanding of overall business management. As a result, I was the recipient of the business unit’s Dedication & Commitment award at the national sales meeting, at which it is uncommon for a non-salesperson to be awarded.My skill set is put to best use in a marketing leadership role for small to mid-size businesses - in the construction and housing/building industry - that strive for strategic vision, collaboration, funnel optimization, innovation and expert problem-solving involving marketing strategy, product development, project management, marketing communications, brand awareness, lead generation, sales enablement, competitive intelligence and of course, thinking like a customer.
