Patricia Tidwell, PhD, LCSW is a psychotherapist and consultant in New York.I have a special interest in empowering women and run salons, circles and groups for women. I have presented and spoken internationally on the subject of women’s empowerment and ambition around fertility and motherhood. I teach post-graduate students various aspects of psychoanalytic theory and its application. Most recently I have taught dream interpretation.

I provided individual psychotherapy to clients with a broad range of issues in a community outpatient mental health setting.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Patricia was a marketing executive. She had twenty years’ experience in new product development, serving in several positions at Estee Lauder Companies. As Executive Director of Special Markets, she worked extensively in many parts of the world giving her unusual insight into the role that culture plays in informing people’s intrapsychic and interpersonal lives. She was formerly adjunct faculty at New York University’s Stern School and Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. She is currently faculty, training analyst and clinical supervisor at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center in New York.
