Patricio Nelson is a specialist in organizational learning and conflict resolution in the workplace. He has studied organizational coaching in Chile with Juan Vera and Verónica Virgilio, and conflict resolution with Phil MacArthur and Robert Putnam, disciples of Chris Argyris, in the USA. He holds a BA from Harvard University and a Masters’ degree in Asian and African studies from El Colegio de México, and studied for a PhD in the same field. He has worked with private companies and consulting agencies in Venezuela, Argentina and México. Since 1998 he has designed and given training courses in conflict resolution, ethics and negotiation for companies such as Arcor, Petrobras, Panamerican Energy (BP), Telecom, Telefónica, CTI, Siemens, Citibank, Banco de Galicia, Banco Francés, Banco Río, Easy, OSDE, Boehringer Ingelheim, Roche and Merck Química. He has contributed to programs for NGOs and public institutions such as Partners for Democratic Change, Poder Ciudadano, OIT, and The Consensus Building Institute.
