Rogério Patrício Chagas do Nascimento was born in Lagarto City, Sergipe State, Brazil. He earned a PhD in Informatics Engineering from Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal, 2004), MSc in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (Brazil, 1999) and BSc in Computing Science from the UFS - Universidade Federal de Sergipe (Brazil, 1997). His previous collaboration was in the Instituto de Robótica at Universitat de València (Spain, 2012 and 2005) as Invited Professor and Researcher; Invited Assistant Professor at Universidade do Algarve (Portugal, 2005-2007); Visiting Professor at Universidade Federal do Amazonas (Brazil, 2010-2013); Post-Graduation Coordinator in Computing Science (Brazil, 2014-2016) and Rector's Advisor on ICT and Smart Cities (Brazil, 2016-2020) at UFS.br. Currently, he is Associate Professor and Deputy Head of Computing Department and Software Engineering Research Group Leader at UFS.br (Brazil). He is a Founder member, Former Scientific Director, and the current President at EATIS.org - Euro-American Association on Telematics and Information Systems. Has experience in the area of Computer Science with emphasis on Software Engineering and Information Systems. He lived in Brazil, Portugal and Spain.
