I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 17 years of experience. My experiences have involved offering mental health service to people from varied age groups and variety of backgrounds (CALD, LGBTIQ+ and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander). Being a migrant of Indian and Chinese descent, I have a strong sense of equity and inclusion for those from a diverse background. I believe in the humanistic approach that prioritises the recognition of the individual.I have worked in the Homeless Sector, Drug and Alcohol Sector, team leading the 2008 Gambling Awareness Week, working with 10+ community groups within South Australia LGBTIQ+ community and currently within the Defence and veteran community sector.
