Application in Java enterprise edition, GWT, and C++, with communication over highly distributed messaging middleware DDS and data stored via HSQLDB and Hibernate ORM.• Designed, built, and maintained modeling/simulation, hardware control, and mission planning components for a system that allows formation of a resilient, self-correcting, IP-based network over a series of radios. System works on a micro-services architecture. Work primarily in Java/Javascript and some C++. Used MongoDB as the backend datasource.• Includes R&D work on a genetic algorithm to design flight pathing for a swarm of UAVs in order to maximize communications and sensor coverage.• Also worked on custom, Python-based deployment scripts.• Architected and deployed a virtualized Hadoop cluster via Chef, integrated it with a larger proprietary analytic processing framework, and implemented analytics processed against the cluster.• Earned Cloudera Certified Developer for Apache Hadoop certification.
