In my experience the apartment maintenance technician is the key reason HVAC/R units, chillers and boilers run all day, every day all year. My function as a apartment maintenance tech also is to ensure all sytems meet manufacturing ,state and federal standards. Where keeping structures looking good through painting, drywall repair, ceilings are not water stained or fall on to residents or staff. Lighting fixtures functioning safely to prevent fire hazards and efficient lighting. There is much more to FM than some may realize. But safety for all is the most important issue. Also, turns or resets, will ensure there are apartments ready for new residents the revenue that the apartment community needs to maintain a profitable business and provide residents for the community it serves.
