I am a forward thinking, quick learning PhD with a diverse background of research experiences. I thrive in challenging, fast-paced environments, and work well as part of a team.My research experience spans 10+ years, during which time I have worked and collaborated with others on two model organisms (Drosophila and Mouse), cancer models, antibody development, stem cell niche environments, and bone morphogenesis. I have experience in organizing data and making it presentable to a wide audience.During the COVID-19 pandemic period, through Fulgent, I have been an active member of our test site prep and transition team to teach on site staff how to utilize test kits and navigate our user interface. Further, I have been actively involved with hands on laboratory work to speed up the flow of COVID testing. As a genetic curation scientist, I have become very familiar with genetic diseases and understanding not only the clinical relevance of the underlying mechanisms, but also how to classify and report relevant genetic variables to clients in order to provide the best assessments of their underlying disorders or potential to transfer specific traits.I am a confident communicator with multiple scientific publications and conference presentations and am passionate about science and its importance in modern society. I am actively seeking opportunities away from the bench in the private sector.
