Managing the certification of the MQ-9B (SkyGuardian) airworthiness and certification program for the first ADF's certified Unmanned Aerial System (UAS). This includes:- Developing the Type Certification Strategy- Developing the Airspace Integration Strategy- Developing the the Continued and Continuing Airworthiness Strategy- Reviewing Military Certification Review Items- Participating in the Aircraft and Propulsion Structural Integrity Working Groups- Participating in the SATCOM Working Group

Experience/Job Summary at the Directorate of Initial Airworthiness (DIA):- Leading the ADF's Type Certification Basis Transition Project.- Provide competent Type Certification related advice to DASA staff and the regulated community as a Type Certification Subject Matter Expert.- Assess the suitability of certification products such as Type Certification Basis, Major Design Changes , Certification Program Plans, Military Certification Review Items and Military Permits To Fly including Flight Conditions.- Perform the role of Project certification Manager for acquisition and modification projects.- Provide specialist input, for DIA’s prescription of initial airworthiness regulation and policy functions.- Provide initial assessment of suitability for Type Certification Holder Organisations.- Conduct ongoing oversight and enforcement of organisations holding Defence Military Type Certificates.- Educate, promote initial airworthiness regulations with respect obligations of Type Certificate Holders.- Provide specialist input, for DIA’s prescription of initial airworthiness regulation and policy functions.- Provide administrative support for Delegates of the Safety Authority in performing/carrying out their delegations.- Conduct assessments of suitability for Delegates of the Safety Authority.

No. 10 Squadron - Maintain, Service, Repair, Inspect, Test and Troubleshoot Aircraft and Aircraft systems, including Removal and Installation of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Fuel, Wind Shield, Brakes, Structural and Non-structural Components, Auxiliary Power Units, Propellers and Engines (Including components) on AP3C Orion. Aircraft Marshalling, Launch and Recovery, Flight Servicing (Before, After and Turnaround), Aircraft Wash, Operating Auxiliary Power Unit and Applying Power to Aircraft, Brake Riding, Securing and Tying Down Aircrafts. Engine Overhaul and Propeller Dome Bay Service at Engine Build Up Section, and Struts Seal and Reseal. Australian Aerospace - 9 Months rotation spent in Deeper Routine Service and Maintenance of Aircraft and Components, Focusing on Airframes Including Corrosion and Fracture Inspections and Metal Fatigue. Bay Servicing of Seats and Flap Carriages.
