VCR had two main sides to its business - raising funding for early stage business (clients included ScanCell, Pret a Manger and many others) and producing the "VCR Guide to Private Equity and Venture Capital" with details on all the major fund providers across Europe. Worked directly alongside the company's chairman. 50% of my time was spent in the bush living out the back of a Landrover working with village farmers or prospecting for new sites for safari camps. The rest was in Lusaka with international investors, corporate partners and government ministers.
