Misery Mountain Ski hill was my seasonal job for the winter of 2018. I worked as a liftee/ Snow Maker. Here I learned the key values of teamwork within a workplace using only two way radios to communicate with one another. And the importance of good ppe. I was also the one in charge of lift maintenance so I was in charge of ocationaly climbing towers to check their condition. I was trained in fall protection for this task.I worked at Kal tire the summer of 2018, located in Peace River where I was a labourer who helped with tire changes and tire repairs.I spent 2019 working on preventative maintenance contractor for a press board plant in high level, alberta called Norbord. My duties here were to supervise a few pieces of the assembly line including the press itself (Respirators were required). dealing with clogs, malfunctions as well as cleaning them. I was required to use compressed air lines and guns to blow down dust and wood off machines, I also worked in confined spaces with Respirators equipped. I have experience using fire hoses to clean areas.Since 2021 I've spent almost 4 years with Owen's Corning's Insulation Plant in Edmonton. At this plant I'm currently a Packaging Attendant, I work 12 hour shifts alternating nights and days. Working at this plant has given me even more knowledge on how production plants run and has kept me in good physical shape to keep working as a labourer. I'm competent in fighting fires with fire hoses and extinguishers. I have tickets in confined space 1 and 2 with rescue, I have man lifts ( Scissor and Boom) up to 80 ft, Basically rigging and overhead crane, and fall protection. I enjoy doing new tasks and being challenged, I work hard and I have the initiative to take on task without instruction and lead teams on assignments. The plant has recently added a redundant ltt program and I was chosen to train all fellow finishing end operators on how to properly lock out equipment.Reason for leaving Owen's Corning Plant.I've been working 4 years and am still on starting position and wage.
