I currently work for the US Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District. My specialty is bathymetric surveying. I also assist in land surveying as well as producing data products and maps for various customers.Additionally, I am the US Young Professional Representative on PIANC Working Group 125.I am particularly interested in Geochemistry, specifically residence time of material in the D'' boundary, the potential existence of primitive mantle reservoirs in the lower mantle, and the composition and history of formation of bodies in the solar system.Outside of Geology I am interested in machine learning and the application of Bayesian statistics in machine learning for modelling purposes. To that end I have been working with Python (to the limited extent I can) in my own time with the intent of learning more about practical application and limitations of these methods. As part of a graduate geochemistry course at NAU I worked with the Geology program's electron microprobe for project work and also dealt with a inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS).My specialties include Hydrographic Surveying, Land Surveying, Quantitative Spatial Analysis, Coastal Geomorphology, Data Management, and Data Analysis.
