-To assist and interface with the Co-ordinating Doctors and Co-ordinating Nurses on medical matters-Triaging members all over the globe with a safe, tailored medical assessment over the phone-Making appropriate decisions to provide the member with the best treatment, taking into consideration, their symptoms and location. -Managing a daily case load, moving a case forward, managing a case from a medical perspective, liaising with the logistical team providing appropriate referrals for the member.-Providing a high standard of customer service to all members over the phone and through written communication, considering time constraints, setting realistic expectations with the member and delivering a timely service as promised.Repatriation/Evacuation of members-Making contact with care local to the member, obtaining a medical update and a medical report-Liaising with the logistical team, providing fit to fly recommendations based on the medical assessment carried out by myself and the contact made with local care so appropriate arrangements can be made for the transportation of the member.-Monitoring the movement from a medical perspective and following up with the member.

-Management of staff / performance management / sickness management-Risk management - ensuring a variable skill mix for each shift, daily allocation-Weekly symbiotic, audits and monthly rostering-Triaging the patient for suitability within the department on telephone handover, receiving the handover from the nurse face to face, and refusing the patient post assessment from myself if GCS is less than 12/15.- Managing the flow of beds (male and female) and moving patients around the department depending on severity of their illness or discharging them if safe and well and a bed is required by A&E-Maintaining high standards of documentation and patient care-Handling complex discharges to ensure a safe discharge.- Demonstrating interpersonal skills with patients and relatives, dealing with the most complex of cases and coming to a solution that is right for the patient and their relatives.

-Assessing the patient within 15minutes of arrival into department and recording their observations.-Stabilising the patient’s condition-Recognising the deteriorating patient and escalating them if necessary-Looking after patients up to and including level 3.-Working fast and efficiently as part of a team as well as independently-Triaging and allocating patients accordingly in the department, depending on level of care required. Probing questions to patient to determine what speciality is needed and referring the patient to the speciality required-Communication between the MDT, relatives and patients
