Elected as GIS Innovation Champion for the Indoors GIS team.Developed indoor maps of 200+ buildings across Texas, Florida, and Iowa. Maps were produced for county school districts and universities. Led a project in Sumter County School District. Responsibilities included verifying customer-provided resources, coordinating with a project manager, disseminating information to a team of builders, establishing a project-specific indoor map development process, developing indoor maps, and performing quality control checks on the completed indoor maps.Maintained and QC’ed ALI, MSAG, and GIS databases for county governments and upgraded their public safety GIS data to support NENA Next Generation 9-1-1 standards. Some key tasks included updating geographic boundaries for emergency services (fire, law, EMS, etc.), maintaining a road centerline layer with accurate address ranges and emergency response information, and maintaining an accurate address point layer through creation, deletion, and modification of address points.

Worked with a team on the Iowa Critical Incident Mapping (CIM) Project where detailed indoor maps of every participating public and private school in Iowa are produced for use by 9-1-1 dispatchers to streamline response times in emergency situations.Workflow consisted of vectorizing floorplan PDFs/ JPGs, georeferencing the vectorized floorplans, creating and manipulating data inside of hosted feature service layers (site, facility, level, and room polygon feature layers, wall/ door polyline feature layer, and points of interest point feature layer), and QC from another team member after the map build is complete.Software used: Scan2CAD, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Suite (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote)

Assisted Dr. Azad Hossain (Associate Professor) with a research project focused on the development of a model to identify landslide susceptibility in different areas of Hamilton County, TNThe project began in 2016 and consisted of a spreadsheet with every known landslide occurrence in Hamilton County up to 2021, a Python data entry tool, and several ArcGIS Pro maps depicting overall landslide susceptibility and individual variables (e.g. slope, soil type, distance to drainage systems, geology, elevation, land cover type)I combined all of these elements into an ArcGIS StoryMap and created a map with every landslide occurrence in the spreadsheet in order to encapsulate all of the work done by myself, Dr. Hossain, and other student research assistants
