At Mitchell Bink Concrete Design (MBCD) I assist the Manager with measuring of jobs, I am then responsible for making all moulds to the exact measurements given to me, delegating work to other staff members, ensuring all products are completed to a extremely high standard while being done in a timely manner, sealing and installing jobs on site in private homes and commercial premises, this often requires trouble-shooting, thinking on my feet and problem solving quickly, to ensure installations are installed in a timely and efficient manner. I am required to ensure prior to an install, that the appropriate equipment and tools for the install are prepared and packed. MBCD has taught me how to work in a small team and at times, I have led a small team and am often required to work unsupervised, whilst ensuring pieces are finished to the highest of standard. I ensure that I work with appropriate safety equipment and am cognisant of WHS requirements. I work in the most efficient way possible, thereby maximising productivity to ensure cash flow meets business operating costs.

While working for Morris Property Group (MPG), I was located on two different commercial construction sites (Macquarie and Dickson). I was responsible for ensuring all concrete and metal reinforcing delivery dockets were entered into the correct project electronic folders for a continual stocktake on concrete supplies, and ensuring the signoffs from the trades were supplied for each slab poured. This was whilst ensuring the work was to the Building Code of Australia. I was responsible for the building defect process at ‘NOVA’ (125 apartments) apartment complex in Dickson. I ensured that the building defects and rectifications occurred in a timely manner, this as a result, prevents major problems in residential and strata building developments. I ensured work was completed to the high standard that MPG sets for all of their projects, whilst aiding MPG to avoid any significant social and economic harm to residents, owners, owners’ corporations and other stakeholders within the broad ‘strata system’. As a result, I was in charge of liaising with the relevant tradespeople to ensure that that defects were fixed in a timely manner, and meeting standards. I also spent time on site cleaning up after the trades, and ensuring all trades were working in accordance to their Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
