Responsible for handling the Stand Alone Second mortgage pipeline from origination to funding. Also responsible for identifying possible 1st Mortgage opportunities and refer them to a Home Loan Consultant when appropriate. Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining a thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics, complying with all Credit Union, federal and state compliance policies. Gather all initial documentation required based upon the applicant’s selected loan program and all disclosure requirements. Analyze applicant’s existing financial status, credit and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting the loan, providing conditional approval or denial of loan request. Clearly communicate conditional approval and conditions surrounding the conditional approval. Provide guidance and information relevant to the risks and benefits of each home lending program the applicant is qualified for; effectively explain and communicate the terms of each product; and ensure all necessary documents are signed by the borrower. Meeting with borrowers to setup a loan application, gather necessary loan documents, order required services and submit a complete loan package to be underwritten.

Proactively works with members and prospective members in assessing financial needs in order to cross-sell and open the appropriate credit union deposit and loan accounts. Plays a key role in helping the branch meet or exceed its deposit and loan goals each month. Responsible for promoting and selling Credit Union products and services to new and existing members. Performs the necessary procedures to open all types of Credit Union accounts (both deposit and loans) and effectively presents product features and benefits to members. Provides detailed information to members regarding IRAs, trust accounts, death claims, business services, etc. and accurately processes transactions related to these services. Maintains current knowledge of all NCUA and federal regulations governing financial transactions, lending, and deposit accounts. Participates in team and other meetings for the purpose of training, discussion, and process improvement.
