Evaluate tooling repair and engineering costs.Analyze new cast and trim tooling costs.Review cast and trim die standards to assure they are current.Examine new tooling designs. Work with die manufacturer and numerous internal departments from kick off to completion (PPAP) of new cast tools.Insure the highest quality part is achieved.During the tool build process, meet with tooling manufacturer to ensure tooling is built to die specifications and delivered on time.Set up new tooling spare component stock. Continually work with in-house tool room or external die manufacturer to achieve the most efficient solution regarding die repairs.Continuously improve scrap ratio by analyzing scrap, determining cause and implementing corrective action to cast or trim tool or working with project manager if cause is in part handling, machining or assembly equipment.Increase good piece up time.
