As a Senior Account Engineer, I am responsible for managing the engineering servicing provided to our clients for a large, complex book of accounts. Not only do I function as a single point contact for any engineering related concerns, but I work with the corporate contacts to understand their risks and ultimately provide solutions to ensure their business is as resilient as possible. While this is a client facing role, I am also responsible for providing an engineering assessment of each account to our production underwriters so that they can properly structure the policy terms and conditions along with providing the best possible pricing. Finally, I assess prospective new clients as part of the new business development process to make certain that they will be a good fit.Additional responsibilities of being a Senior level position include mentoring people who are new to the FM Affiliated Account Engineering role, helping to facilitate training classes and assisting with special projects.

As a Consultant Engineer II, I visited larger client owned facilities to understand and quantify the property hazards and associated risks. This included a complete review of natural hazards, facility hazards (fire, explosion, etc.) and equipment hazards. Visits also included fire protection testing and reviews of maintenance / testing procedures. Throughout the duration of a visit, I consulted with client personnel regarding the findings and worked with them to determine any potential solutions, weighing the loss expectancy, cost to complete and feasibility. I captured the findings of each visit in a technical report which was provided to the client along with the internal account team. These reports are a critical component of the engineering based insurance process.

As an Engineering Co-Op, I prepared submittals, purchase orders and contracts. I also obtained quotes and scheduled deliveries for subcontractors and suppliers. Finally, I helped in estimating multiple projects, assisted in managing projects and generated schedules.

I was responsible for organizing and preparing job paperwork and equipment / material tracking. I generated daily cost reports and contributed to weekly in-house field meetings with cost and progress reports.

As a student IT worker I helped the IT department after school hours and full time in the summer months. I was responsible for troubleshooting and repairing workstations and servers. I also helped address help tickets from teachers and faculty throughout the district.
