RESPONSIBILITIES:• Assist the Project Surveyor and other SUPO team members with the review of SUBCONTRACTOR project procedures in advance of the mobilisation• Be fully conversant with the technical aspects of the project• Participate proactively in HAZID or HAZOP meetings as required, either in the office in advance of mobilisation or on the vessel• Witness and perform Quality Control of the SUBCONTRACTORs systems, calibrations and mobilisation reports• Facilitate the flow of survey information and results between the vessel, other vessels operating on the project and the SUPO office• Ensure that the SUBCONTRACTOR carries out survey activities according to the relevant specifications and approved project specific survey procedures• Quality Control of SUBCONTRACTORs field data, field reports and charts, ensuring that relevant specifications are met• Facilitate data / information flow between the SUBCONTRACTOR and COMPANY Survey Representative• Liaise with the COMPANY Survey Representative and the SUBCONTRACTOR Party Chief• Keep the Project Surveyor (onshore) informed of offshore project progress and any survey issues arising from the project• Provide comprehensive written hand over notes to accompany the face to face hand over with opposite rotation personnel• Attend the Saipem office on completion of the project for de-briefing and project reporting as required• To become familiar with and to maintain awareness of Saipem’s current requirements and where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations• To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with Saipem’s policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with Saipem specific procedures• Promote a safe working culture• To ensure his / her own safety and that of others is not compromised or placed at risk

Employed by Sonsub / Saipem UK Ltd, as an Offshore Survey Representative on a variety of projects. These included pipeline inspection, spool-piece metrology, trenching/backfilling operations, site surveys, debris clearance surveys, ROV navigation/inspection and pipeline laying operations.Duties Included:-•Ensured that the contract specifications with respect to survey operations, acquisition, processing and reporting are being met by the contractor, with respect to conformance and contractual obligations;•Ensured that all of the specified pre-survey positioning checks, verifications and calibrations are completed and documented correctly;•Attentive to the planning and co-ordination of the work to take advantage of weather, logistics and other operational conditions;•Assisted with the acquisition of optimal survey data quality and integrity throughout including the rectification or minimisation of any possible errors;•Monitored the onboard post-processing procedures;•Provided real-time and onboard analysis of all the parameters affecting the survey;•Provided a detailed final report with respect to survey operations, independent of the contractor as much as possible, for the performance and analysis of the navigation and positioning systems used;•Ensured that the client is made aware of any discrepancies between the client’s objectives and the results being achieved by the contractor, even if the contractor is performing to within the contract specifications;•Ensured that the contractor provides detailed logical documentation of all operations;•Attentive to company health, safety, environmental and quality arrangements;•Promoted the management of hazard identification / risk assessment processes;•Organisation and management of project safety meetings;
