• Responsible for TMI Decommissioning Engineering from the end of the final shutdown/cooldown and reactor defueling until Spent Fuel Pool low vulnerability phase entered. All decommissioning modification milestones were met during this phase (over 100 plant system/structure/component decommissioning modifications completed). • Responsible for departmental budget, meeting monthly goals throughout decommissioning. • Managed the plan to transition TMI-1 to SAFSTOR, providing Engineering leadership and organization to the site management team. This included the process for abandoning equipment during Decommission, providing cost effective design control and establishing standards, ensuring regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local agencies.

• Responsible for Site Design Engineering with a staff of 21, including 2 managers. This included emergent plant modifications and focused/complex troubleshooting. Maintained strong ownership of plant design and license bases as evidenced by best performance in NRC DBAI and Tornado Missile Project.• Responsible for Engineering budget, including outside contracts’ requisitioning, invoice payment and compliance. Maintained oversight of contractors, providing feedback on performance to their management to ensure procedure compliance and quality improvement.• Managed and approved all design changes for Independent Spent Fuel Storage Implementation (ISFSI) Project. Transitioned from Corporate to Site Engineering Lead and management. Engineering deliverables met all quality, schedule and budget goals.

• Responsible for 15 Engineers & Designers, to maintain Design Basis of the Station. This includes designing hundreds of plant modifications, creating and updating analyses and drawings from conceptual phase to installation.• PWR Owners Group Rep for TMI (Systems & Equipment Engr Subcommittee)• Management Lead for NRC Engineering Inspections and INPO E&A for Configuration Management. Represented TMI at successful NRC Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) for License Renewal.• Engineering Support Personnel Training Curriculum Review Committee Chair• Responsible for TMI-1 successful responses to industry and regulatory post Fukushima initiatives, and Internal/External Flooding hazard re-analysis and response.

Engineers proactively requested maintenance or modification to the systems or components if degraded or obsolete, driving improved operation and regulatory compliance.

Worked in a variety of roles supporting Design, Oversight and Operation of PWR Nuclear Power Plant.Additional Positions Held:Nuclear Oversight Engineering Assessor. TMI-1: Conducted independent assessments and quality verification activities for TMI Site Engineering and Emergency Preparedness to verify the effectiveness of programs and processes and provided management with information on conditions that could have potentially affected plant safety, operability, reliability, or productivity.System Engineer, TMI-1: Responsible as the technical authority of all HVAC/Filtration Systems, Water Treatment & River Water Cooling Systems. Monitored system health, performed troubleshooting and testing of equipment, scoped and recommended modifications to design as required. Managed Control Room Habitability Issues with NRC and transitioned Nuclear Accident Analyses using new licensed source terms. Transitioned river water treatment systems from maintenance/manpower intensive systems to vendor-controlled units. Plant Modifications Engineer, TMI-1: Performed Design Engineering for plant modifications. Provided site focal point for corporate engineering support for plant outages.Shift Technical Advisor, TMI-1: Provided direct technical assistance in Control Room during plant operations, and advised plant operating staff.Operations Engineer, TMI-1: Worked on procedure development, OTSG Kinetic Expansion Project and Restart activities.
