First and foremost a father of two and husband. Hailing from rural Malvik just outside Trondheim, Norway, I grew up in a caring family consisting of a healthy mix of entrepreneurs, sailors and academics. My heritage definitely followed me into my professional life and had contributed to a wealth of new ideas, systemisation, digitalisation being part of this. My highest priority in life is time spent with my wife and two daughters. When I'm not in either of those roles, gaming, sharks, big ideas, geography and factoids make up most of my spare time.Utilizing my degree in early childhood development from Queen Maud College in Trondheim, I have obtained extensive professional experience from working in several levels of the Norwegian educational system: kindergarten, primary school as well as NGOs. My bachelor thesis; a quantitative study of the use of the iPad as a learning tool for children aged 1-3 involved hundreds of Norwegian kindergartens and was the first of its kind. In it, I dug into whether or not Norwegian toddlers - while in kindergarten - interact with touch technology on a regular basis while under professional supervision. To my (slight) surprise, an overwhelming amount of Norwegian kindergartens replied that they do in fact offer this.An avid gamer since the age of 8, I have spent my fair share of hours in games on several platforms, however my many, many, many hours spent in World of Warcraft, Eve Online, Total War and StarCraft 2 will forever remain a testament to my lifelong dedication to PC gaming. Trying to balance this dedication while maintaining family relations as a family man and entrepreneur remains an ever-present challenge.On a side note, I happily boast having survived a violent car accident which forced me to relearn how to walk. Lots of valuable life lessons were had during that time.in 2012 I arranged Norway's highest prized Starcraft 2 tournament to date. The prize money aided Norwegian SC2 player Snute in travelling to Korea in order to study their playstyle firsthand.
