Following his PhD study in the Organic Chemistry department at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, Patrick co-founded and built Syntarga, a biopharmaceutical company developing Antibody-Drug Conjugate technology. After Syntarga's acquisition by Synthon in 2011, he headed the Antibody-Drug Conjugates department within Synthon Biopharmaceuticals, now Byondis. Since 2014, he is leading the Medicinal & Protein Chemistry department, focusing on the early-stage development of both antibody-drug conjugates and small-molecule drugs. At the same time, he is also leading R&D projects as a project manager. He has a focus on early-stage R&D and a strong interest in both platform and product development.
