Seconded as managing director into start-up renewable fuel manufacturer that had won funding from the Centrica Ignite social enterprise fund. Key highlights included:• Speedy integration into the business including a full end to end business review, implementation of KPIs and analysis of the underlying business model (weeks 1 & 2). Identified a business in crisis leading creation and implementation of an urgent and widespread rescue plan (weeks 3 & 4).• Implemented rescue plan that included financial restructuring, sourcing additional funding, Opex, CoGs and cash control, renegotiating supplier contracts and introduction of a B2C sales channel (achieving Amazon Best Seller rank through January / February) alongside comprehensive and transparent business performance monitoring.• Developed a new lower cost higher value product by introducing a new sustainable waste product (coffee husks) into the product development, building a new partnership sales channel with the coffee distributor.

• Full operational and P&L responsibility for operating and maintaining energy intensive /generating assets within the Distributed Energy fleet including the risk management andmitigation of annual performance guarantees and liabilities exceeding £5m.• Accountable for a broad fleet of complex assets including commercial co-gen, ground sourceheat pumps, biomass, gas and oil boilers, hospital energy centres, LED lighting, dieselgenerators, battery storage systems and 6000 solar PV sites.• Accountable for the Centrica Energy Control Centre, providing real-time monitoring of assetperformance and value driven response prioritisation.• In addition to the above key projects include:o Responsible for building and leading the new Distributed Energy demand side responsecontract management function, building from scratch the tools, systems, processes andteam to effectively manage customer contracts to ensure savings, revenues and margins aremaximised.o Chair of a steering group with direct accountability to both the managing director andCentrica executive committee for a safety driven program of remedial works.
