CurrentWas part of the Workload Automation team that maintains ECS’s enterprise workload scheduler BMC Control-M in all environments. Worked closely with Batch Engineering, Database Engineering, Database Administrators and Reporting teams to create Control-M jobs for a wide variety of projects in a very fast-paced environment. Established and enforced new standards, processes, and rigors around the scheduling of all Control-M jobs to move jobs through the different Control-M environments in a more efficient manner. Managed 4 Windows Control-M environments – Development, QA, Stage and Production with close to 9,000 jobs.Administration of Control-M server V6301 and V800 and 105 Agents in all environments.Used Control-M for File Transfer, created SSH keys and worked with partners and vendors to set up SFTP connectivity. Used Control-M for Informatica, IBM Cognos and Database.Created logins for users of Control-M and granted appropriate permissions at group level using Control-M Configuration Manager.Set up Host Groups and implemented Global Variables to be used in jobs using a text file.Collaborated with Batch Engineering team to smoothly transition legacy system jobs into the Control-M environment.Managed defects reported by testing teams, and supported the releases.Provided rotating 24x7 on call support and occasional weekend on site support.Managed multiple projects in a very fast-paced working environment and adapted to changing priorities.Taught and mentored QA, NOC and Engineering teams in the daily use of the Control-M tool.Monitored jobs during regular business hours, troubleshot Control-M job failures, provided resolutions or escalated to the appropriate team as per Runbook to ensure SLA’s are met. Reran jobs as appropriate.Worked with Business and Engineering to create Runbooks for each Control-M job flow for NOC to follow during off hours monitoring.Completed all the mandatory Experian compliance training.
