Senior Global Suppiler Quality Engineer
CurrentResponsibilities:• Lead supplier development initiatives and drive continuous improvement efforts in supply chain quality and delivery performance.• Manage projects involving suppliers on recovery programs, ensuring timely and effective resolution.• Oversee a diverse range of products, including solar panels, PCB/PCBA, batteries, ground support equipment, antennas, composites, and metal structures.• Operate across multiple countries, including Spain, Sweden, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Taiwan, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, and the USA.• Dealt with requirements from agencies such as CAA, ESA, ESSA, EU Commission and EASA• Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers to ensure compliance and performance standards are met.• Participate in the selection, evaluation, and development of suppliers, ensuring quality requirements are communicated and adhered to.• Monitor and analyze supplier quality metrics, maintenance, and review processes to promote sustained success.• Ensure thorough evaluation and qualification of suppliers, maintaining an Approved Supplier List (ASL) in collaboration with the supply chain team.• Conduct evaluations based on AS/EN 9100, ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and QMS standards.• Support electrical, mechanical, quality, and power system engineers in their projects.• Review and improve practices, procedures, and processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and reduce risks to product and program quality.• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with program offices, other AST & Science organizations, vendors, and contractors.• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and obligations in business operations.• Establish procedures for quality clauses, China engagement, self-sourcing, and third-party sourcing.• Utilize ERP, PLM, and MES systems, including development and testing in sandbox environments.
